Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has extended the last date for admissions to various courses through distance education at University School of Open Learning (USOL).  

USOL Chairperson, Prof Jaspal Kaur Kaang informed that the one day on the Spot Admission Camp at Ludhiana and Three Days on the Spot Admission Camp at Chandigarh received overwhelming response of the students seeking admission to various courses in USOL. In view of that the University has decided to extend the last date of admission (without late fee) for courses run under semester system upto August 31, 2015 and Annual Courses upto September 11, 2015.

This is for the information of the public in general and candidates in particular that the online application forms alongwith Prospectus for PU – CET (PG) Entrance Test-2015 for vacant seats in Masters in Remote Sensing & GIS and Masters in Disaster Management will be made available on http://cetpg.puchd.ac.in from 21st August 2015. The last date for submission of information and to generate bank challan is 31st August 2015 and the deposit of fee in any branch of State Bank of India is 2nd September 2015. The last day of camp ended with the valedictory function which was presided over by PU Vice-Chancellor Professor. Arun Kumar Grover. Prof Grover addressed the audience and PU DUI Prof. A.K. Bhandari gave advisory remarks. Both encouraged the students to attend more such camps and work hard for their future.

Prof. Kanwaljit Chopra, Honorary Co-ordinator of Inspire Internship Camp presented a brief report about the Inspire Camp Students . Prof. Deepak Sharma, School of life Sciences, JNU, New Delhi was the chief guest of the day and Prof. Arghya Taraphder, Professor and head, Department of Physics, The Center for Theoretical Studies and The School of Nanoscience, IIT-Kharagpur was the guest of honor.

Students were given away participation certificates and St. John's student Saransh got the first prize for the best innovative idea at the science exhibition. Students gave a very good feedback about the camp and were interested to attend more in future.

This 2nd DST-INSPIRE INTERNSHIP CAMP ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Anurag Kuhad, Program Co-ordinator for the Inspire Internship camp. He motivated and encouraged the students to attend more camps like this in future and gain benefit from them. Thus, this inspire camp ultimatly motivated the students to be like "KALAM".

Online Application Forms are invited for admission to M.Ed 2-Yr. (Semester System) course for the Department of Education and Colleges of Education affiliated to Kurukshetra University running M.Ed. under SFS for the session 2015-16. The Application Form can be filled up online through University website www.kuk.ac.in alongwith online application fee of Rs.800/- (Rs.200/- for SC/BC/EBP candidates of Haryana) w.e.f. 20.08.2015.  Last date for submission of online Application Form in the office of the Chairperson, Dept. of Education, KUK is 11.09.2015. The print out of online Application Form alongwith fee receipt and Form for College Preference and copy of caste certificate of SC/BC/EBP category and ESM/DFF/DA candidates are required to attach certificate for claiming reservation should reach in the Dept. either in person or By Post  by 18.09.2015. Entrance Test will be conducted on 27.09.2015 at K.U. Kurukshetra.  Prospectus (Code No. M.Ed.-15) is available on the University Website.

Eligibility :B.Ed./B.A. B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed. Examination with 45% marks. Minimum pass marks for SC/ST Candidates and 5% relaxation will be given to differently able candidates.
